Thanks to a grant from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture & History, Moundsville Middle School students were able to put their artistic talents on display in a unique way.

A new mural painted by seventh and eighth grade Studio Art students, under the supervision of MMS Art teacher Tabetha Morgan and student teacher Jenna Craig, will greet visitors at Grand Vue Park’s miniature golf course and playground.

The canvas is a wooden fence that stands eight feet high and is 50 feet long. The colorful creation was a collaboration among Lynndee Bare, Justice Bell, Rilee Blake, Khloie Burton, Molly Dixon, Kalina Farrell, Nevaeh Lashare, Adilea Parsons, Amy Rohrer, Katie Sweeney, Danielle Waldrop and Carson Wise and illustrates many of the park’s attractions and amenities.

This program is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission of the Arts.
