Marshall County students once again have the opportunity to showcase their artistic talent at the 43rd annual Marshall County Student Art Show, currently on display at the Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex in Moundsville.

Aubrey Gatts, a student at Hilltop, obtained Best in Show in the grade school classification for her printmaking titled “The Highlands.”
The People’s Choice Award in the high school category, as voted by attendees at the opening day reception on Saturday, went to Devan Schrack for her oil painting dubbed “Shorty the Horse.” In the middle school class for People’s Choice, an award was earned by Moundsville Middle School student Marianah Lightner for her paper collage named “Electric Guitar.”
The public is invited to view the exhibit from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, at the Delf Norona Museum until Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
The Marshall County Student Art Show is coordinated by Cameron High School Art teacher Amanda Jenree with assistance from students in the school’s art club. Jenree’s mother, Vickie, started the art show in 1982.
